As the only hospital located between Belleville and Peterborough, CMH provides a comprehensive array of acute care services. Our emergency department sees about 18,000 visits each year. Our acute care beds are managed by Internal Medicine who are available for consults. 24-hr on-site Lab 24/7 access to CT and XR 7 days/week access to Ultrasound Physician Assistant support 4 days per week (typically sees CTAS 2-5 patients; trained to do thora/paracentesis, lumber puncture, casting, etc.) 24/7 RT support, who can do intubations, BiPAP, etc. Easy access to specialists (most < 1 hour away) Epic EMR (shared with nearby major partners) Mental Health/Crisis Team available Phillips Sparq 2 well-appointed call rooms for overnight or before driving home Our congenial medical team is dedicated to ensuring their expertise benefits the 30,000 people seeking care at the Hospital annually. CMH offers a paid 8-hour 'Orientation Shift' in advance of your first solo shift on site. We are a Level 4A AFA with 10% shadow billing. Shadow billing managed through the hospital and paid out on receipt from the MOH. Regular shift payments monthly.
