Dryden Regional Health Centre (DRHC) is actively seeking locum physicians to support our Emergency Department - CCFP, RCPSC-EM, and new grads are all welcome! Average ED volumes are ~45 patients per 24hr with most patients presenting during the day shift. ~75% of visits are CTAS 4/5. Experienced and supportive nursing team and an ED NP works alongside the physician most days (10am to 10pm). Local 2nd on-call, general surgery and anesthesia. Local DI (CT, xray, ultrasound) adjacent to the emergency department. Day shift 0800-2000. Night shift 2000-0800. 24hr shifts are available (0800-0800). *Do you have a resident working with you? DRHC is a teaching hospital, affiliated with NOSM U and University of Toronto. Our Recruiter can help you apply through the NORSTAR program to locum and bring your resident for the experience! *Do you already work in an Ontario Emergency Department? You can also find ED locum shifts in Dryden through the EDLP program! *Do you locum at other hospitals in Northwestern Ontario? We have a regional credentialing program, which means you can pick up locum assignments in Dryden and other communities in one visit! Remuneration: NO minimum shift requirement - come for one-12 hour shift or pick up multiple. Recently increased local rate - $300/hr!! As per Northern Specialist Locum Program (NSLP) Respite Locum rates - recently $ increases effective April 1st! Travel honorarium - $363.57 per travel day to/from Dryden. + travel sessional rate up to $1,668.77 per travel day to/from Dryden. Claim up to $4,000 in travel time round-trip! + Reimbursement for all travel expenses (mileage, flights, car rentals) and accommodations.
