Reporting to the General Manager of Health & Emergency Services, the Director, Health Quality Simcoe will support a positive patient/client experience, high standards in professional practice, and lead a supportive employee culture that focuses on engagement, collaboration, and ongoing professional development. The County of Simcoe proudly owns and operates four accredited long-term care and senior services facilities, serving 1,300 residents and providing additional regional programs to older adults, such as Geriatric Mental Health. As well the County is responsible for Paramedic Services, a Community Paramedicine Program, and Social Housing. The Director will facilitate patient/client-centered operational advancements, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and scalability within a supportive culture. This position also provides strategic planning and direction in performance management and accountability for the staff in the program areas of Professional Development, Professional Practice, and Patient/Client Experience. If you have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in progressively responsible leadership positions, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a senior leadership position, preferably in a healthcare environment, please consider this exciting role with the County. A university degree in Health or Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related discipline, and a post-graduate degree in Health Administration, Quality Improvement/Patient Safety, Health Economics and/or Knowledge Management is expected in the successful candidate. Other technical skills and certifications include an awareness of collective agreements, a certificate in healthcare quality, patient safety and/or continuous quality improvement. Significant experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement disciplines would be considered an asset.
