The Department of Anesthesia at Stratford General Hospital (SGH) is recruiting! SGH is part of the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA). HPHA includes 11 Anesthesiologists; 6 FRCPC & 1 FM/A working at the Stratford site. 4 FM/A working at the Clinton site. The Department covers the Operating Rooms, Obstetrical Services and Preoperative work, including; 11,000 elective surgeries/year. 676 hip/knee arthroplasty surgeries/year. 1200 deliveries/year including 350-400 c-sections (Level 2 NICU) 300 pediatric cases/year. Position Details include: Flexible opportunities (F/T, P/T, Locum). On site MRI, CT, US, Nuclear Medicine, Bloodbank, Glidescopes. Dedicated US for OR use. Transthoracic Echocardiology available. About Stratford General Hospital: SGH is a 120+ bed hospital and the regional referral centre for Huron and Perth County residents. The ED is staffed by FRCPC and EM physicians and sees 35,000+ patients/year. The Stratford site provides critical (8 bed ICU) and neonatal intensive care units, maternal child, medical and surgical inpatient services, telemetry/stroke (district stroke centre), mental health, complex continuing care and rehabilitation inpatient services. Surgical specialties include: General, Orthopedics, Urology, Obstetrics/Gynecology, ENT, Plastics and Ophthalmology. Requirements We welcome both FM/A & FRCPC physicians in our program!
