Seaforth Community Hospital (SCH) is recruiting Full or Part Time Emergency Physicians to join the team! SCH is part of the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance, which also includes; Clinton Public, St. Marys Memorial and Stratford General Hospitals. The ED is staffed by family physicians of the Huron community FHT, along with HPHA ED physicians (primarily from Stratford General). We also have a dedicated locum pool that support on a monthly basis. The ED includes 4 exam rooms, 1 trauma room & 1 negative pressure room. There are 2 holder beds available. A local back up physician is scheduled daily and available as needed to support. ED physicians receive excellent specialty support from colleagues at Stratford General Hospital. Specialty services include; General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Urology, Plastics, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry and Paediatrics. Shifts are 24 hrs or can be divided; 0800-2000 or 2000-0800. Patient volumes are approximately 30-40 with acuity mix across at CTAS levels. Colleagues at Stratford General are a phone call/text away and available to offer support/mentorship to new physicians. ED Physicians are paid an hourly rate through the AFA, in addition are eligible for funding support through the Ministry's Temporary Locum Program (TLP) at a rate of $72.66/hr in addition to a generous travel stipend. SCH is a 20 bed well equipped hospital. The inpatient unit is staffed by a dedicated hospitalist who covers the unit until 8pm. ED physicians are available to the inpatient unit overnight from 8pm until 8am. Requirements Family Physicians with ACLS/ATLS. Physicians do not need to hold EM designation. Physicians requiring supervision will be considered.
