Full-Time Anesthesiologist - Owen Sound, ON

Brightshores Health System (http://www.brightshores.ca/) To support the expansion of surgical services, we have an immediate need for two full-time Anesthesiologists, based at the Owen Sound hospital. This vibrant community practice includes service to orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, thoracics, obstetrics/gynecology, vascular, thoracics and endoscopy. The current on-call rotation is 1 in 8, with Department members working a mix of full-time and part-time. Brightshores Health System (Brightshores) operates six hospitals in the Grey Bruce region serving a population of over 170,000 residents and over 2 millions visitors per year. Brightshores' Owen Sound hospital is a Level 2 regional referral centre, offering a full range of specialty services supported by 24-hour labs, 2 MRIs, CT, interventional radiology, electrodiagnostics, Cancer Centre and Level 2/3 Critical Care. Thriving rural hospitals are also located in Lion’s Head, Markdale, Meaford, Southampton and Wiarton, servicing a range of ambulatory, in-patient and emergency needs. Another five hospitals located within the region also refer to our specialists. Requirements Interested candidates will ideally hold applicable FRCPC designation (or requisite eligibility) or American Board certification, with eligibility to obtain a license to practice in Ontario.
