The Clinton Family Health Team (FHT) is recruiting a Full or Part Time Family Physician to join the existing group of 6. Hospitalist work is associated with this practice, approximately 4 weeks per year or more as desired. Emergency work is optional. We welcome those interested in this opportunity to consider locum and/or elective time in the practice, as available. About the Clinton FHT: The Clinton FHT is a dynamic group of 6 physicians located in a group medical centre in Clinton, ON. As part of a Family Health Team, you will work alongside a variety of healthcare professionals including; NPs, RNs, RPNs, a dietician, mental health worker, social worker and administrative staff. This is a turn key office with electronic medical records (Practice Solutions). There are no after hours or weekend coverage requirements with this position, provided there is involvement in hospital work, as noted above. In addition to clinic work, physicians provide hospitalist coverage at Clinton Public Hospital (admission & patient management) as well as participation in 2nd on call ED duties. There is a daily stipend associated with hospitalist work and an on call stipend for 2nd on call ED coverage. Physicians provide approximately 4 weeks of hospitalist coverage per year, or more depending on interest. Emergency Department coverage is also an option, although is not required and payable at $180-$190/hour. The ED is closed overnight. Physicians providing full time coverage at the Clinton FHT are eligible for financial support through the Northern Rural Recruitment and Retention Program (NRRR) in the amount of $89,899.00. Physicians practicing in Clinton are eligible for locum support through the Rural Family Medicine Locum Program. The local Clinton Hospital Foundation also generously supports new physicians by covering start up overhead costs and relocation. The emergency department operates daily from 0800-2000. The hospital offers specialty consultative services in Internal Medicine and General Surgery and is home to Alliance's cataract centre, which includes two operating rooms. Stratford General Hospital is the regional referral centre and located 45 mins SE of Clinton.
