CMH is a busy, medium sized ED that sees around 110-150 patients per day. There are 6 shifts daily and each shift is scheduled for 8 - 9 hours; all shifts start with duty in the acute region and subsequent transition to subacute. All new EPs will be scheduled in shift overlap with other physicians especially during peak volume hours.
The ED is brand new, with excellent colleague and specialist support. There is a 12-bed ICU that is covered 24/7 and internal medicine admits patients at all hours. Other admitting services include general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, pediatrics, psychiatry and oncology. There is regional coverage for urology, ENT, spine surgery, plastic surgery, and nephrology. The ED has x-ray and CT 24/7, ultrasound 15 hours, 7 days per week and MRI 12 hours per day.
Our 190-bed community hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic laboratory and imaging support services. Recent updates to our L & D and postpartum floor, as well as surgical suites. CMH is classified as a Level 2C hospital.
